The Vision
"We are building a stage for our community's future."
As our community grows, we must decide how we want to grow and who we want to become. Do we want to provide an enriching cultural environment for those who live and work here? For more information
History
In 1972, the Civic Center Authority was created. Many thought the Civic Center was going to include a PAC. Unforturnately, that did not happen. And, over the past 30 years, a Performing Arts Center has been the highest cultural priority identified by citizens in city surveys. In 1993, a referendum (without a public information campaign) to support an arts center failed by just under 500 votes. For more information
Purpose
To grow and develop "Florida's Classroom" where citizens, organizations, and educational institutions present, learn, and enjoy activities related to arts, culture, history, education, state government, local governments, community development, and community events.
